Hello my lovely readers,
Long time, no blog post but believe me there is a good reason behind this. Sometimes life just happens and leaves you completely incapacitated to handle its surprises. As I mentioned in my last post I was heading to Bulgaria for some long waited family reunion. I have to say that this was fabulous! I spent 5 chilly days in lovely Bulgaria with my dearest ones, while indulging in yummy food and amazing Bulgarian wine. I witnessed the most fabulous Christmas lighting and I am also a bit more knowledgeable of my favorite cuisine- Italian. Let me know if you are interested in unconventional pasta recipes! I would be really happy to share my experience.
My favorite bit of the experience though is the opportunity to catch up with my lovely nephews and nieces! I just can’t get enough of them! 🙂 I had an awesome time and I didn’t even realize when it was Wednesday already – time to get back to the UK. As always I was full of bitter-sweet emotions: on one hand I am leaving all my relatives behind, and on the other, I am getting back to my better half 🙂
So far, so good. However, my last post doesn’t mention the baby shower I was planning for Saturday- a long-awaited event that I was super thrilled about! I was quite calm about it all because I managed to get all my party supplies ages ago but I still had some baking sessions scheduled in the planner. I don’t want to tell you all about it today, as I am preparing a whole post on how to plan a baby shower, but I have to say it has been an amazing experience!
The biggest challenge for me though is a career related change I am going through right now. I hope I will have the chance to raise the curtain on this one soon enough. Anyway, you might wonder what the point of this post is apart from a brief update on my life from the past week. Well, I have a message that I find really important. A message that people claim they don’t want to be a part of. My message is:
It’s OK to be weak once in a while. And it is OK to ask for help.
I know the thrill of feeling like Wonder Woman running 5 different projects at the same time. Yes, the feeling is amazing but it is also exhausting! And after being on an emotional roller-coaster starting from the Thursday before my departure, I really relied on George’s support. So yeah, my message is: please ask for help when you need it! You don’t have to do everything on your own. You are not a super human, and even if you are, I am sure that super humans still need naps and hugs 🙂
That is all for today. I really hope my advice will come handy for the holiday season because it’s the time of the year when people really try to exceed expectations, whether it would be with gifts or by hosting a fabulous Christmas party. Are there some words of wisdom you would like to share for the upcoming festive season? Please share these in the comments! Whether it’s advice on how to handle stress or an easy-to-make cookie recipe, I would love to hear from you!
By the way, it’s exactly 10 days to Christmas and the space under my Christmas tree is looking super exciting! I wonder what Santa will bring me this year! What are you hoping for?
Have great week everyone!
